DISCLAIMER: I was provided free clothes in exchange for an honest review. As usual, allthoughts, opinions, etc. are my own!
Awhile ago, I was contacted by Fabletics about trying out some of their clothing. Since I’m always on the hunt for good workout clothes, I said yes. After filling out a few brief questions about what fitness activities I engage in, where I work out, what colors appeal to me, etc. they sent me a pair of capris and a top to try out.
My first impression was that the material was really nice – very high quality, not thin but not bulky either. Also, I really liked the colors – purple has somehow become my gym color (purple shoes, purple wrist wraps, purple shirts…) and I’ve been wanting a new pair of grey capris for a while since my other ones have become see-through So let’s start at the top shall we? In full disclosure, I haven’t worn the top during a workout yet simply because I’m using a lot of tacky for stones and I prefer to train in looser shirts. In hindsight, I probably could have gone with a bigger size because I severely underestimated how much room my lats take up (a good problem to have!). BUT, I have worn it to do some light yoga and stretching around the house and it is amazing. I love the design and detail and it doesn’t move. Seriously, I don’t have to pull it down every five seconds or readjust. The material is very soft and fits like a glove.
Now, let’s talk about capris. I could live in these. Seriously. These are probably THE best workout capris I have ever own – and yes, I DO have several pairs of Lululemon but truly, these are better. They’re thinner than the typical workout capri but do not think that makes them weak. I put these capris through one hell of a workout right after I got them (axle continental cleans & jerks, power cleans, bench pressing, hookgrip deadlifts, and zercher carries) and these did not move, once. As a person who has a constant issue of having to pull up any pants I’m wearing because they’re too big on the waist but fit my butt and legs (I’ve ripped the belt loops out of jeans because I pull them up so much), no pulling up 24/7 is a big deal. They’re also insanely comfortable – I’m practically living in them.
Fabletics is a subscription program, which I’ve always been a bit weary of but I love the way they have the program set up. If you don’t want to purchase something that month, you simply click “Skip This Month” right on your login page and you aren’t charged. If you forget to order or skip by the 10th you will be charged $49.95 which is held as a credit for your next purchase so your money just doesn’t disappear. And, if you order your first outfit within 24 hours of registering you can get it for 50% off!
The VIP subscription service is pretty awesome – you can earn points that add up to free outfits by purchasing, writing reviews, and inviting friends. You can help earn points (and not be doomed to wearing ratty workout clothes ) by using my invite link!
